Who We Are
My wife and I work full time and make wood products in our spare time. We started with a portable table saw and a handful of hand sanders. Every dime we’ve made has gone back into the hobby. As we grow we buy better equipment and I foresee us putting all our profits back into the business for the next few years. We now have a group of tools that help to produce solid, consistent product. Tune into our Blog to see how we do what we do.
Each cutting board is individually glued, planed, shaped, sanded and oiled one at a time. It takes approximately 3 days for us to complete a cutting board and about 7-10 days to complete an Endgrain Board.
Many of our cutting boards may be constructed of the same wood types but due to the configuration and size of wood used, each cutting board highlights the wood’s individual beauty in a different way. This process allows us to produce a true one of a kind creation that will provide many years of service while adding a beautiful accent to your kitchen décor.
We use these quality kiln dried domestic and exotic hardwoods:
Oak, Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Mahogany, Purpleheart, Yellowheart,
Padauk, Lacewood, Wenge, Jatoba and Zebrawood
We use USDA approved glue that is food safe and water resistant. We season our boards with a handmade blend of mineral oil and pure beeswax.
